If you have been following my Twitter or Instagram (you should be!), you will know that I have two trips to Disney World booked for next year. This was absolutely not how I planned on doing my trip announcement, so bear with me. Disney have previously announced this magical date of September 26th which is when all the current COVID related changes were planning on ending. This was until last week when I got an email from them.
You asked for it, so sit down and prepare yourself for my slightly excessive Disney Ears collection. I was inspired by my fabulous friend Pippa from Broadways Away, who is also the main cause behind my obsession, when she did her Ear collection video. Please go and subscribe to them if you haven't already!
I will note that I have paid for all of these ears with my own money and I have not been sponsored by any of the brands mentioned below - I just love them!
Good imaginary morning! It's been a while, but we are still in Imagination Land so we can agree that there is still no concept of time. Today, we are off for a roaring day at Animal Kingdom - yes, that was bad; no, I don't care!
Good imaginary afternoon! I have been slacking on these posts in lockdown, but lucky for us time doesn't exist in Imagination Land.
Today we are off to Magic Kingdom for a full day of fun where we will magically be able to do everything we want to do without any interruptions!
Good imaginary afternoon to you! Today is Imaginary Disney Day! Which is several days after pre-travel day...logic doesn't exist here.
I wake up at pretty much the crack of dawn before my alarm goes off because, although I need my beauty sleep, I still get more excited to go to Disney than a five year old. Just without the constant "are we there yet?!"...yet...
We are just over a week into lockdown and I am approximately 48 hours away from completely losing the plot. Because of this, I decided to do a little mini series documenting my imaginary Disney vacation, including photos from my 2018 trip and all the things I wish I could be doing other than sitting on my sofa binge watching Hannah Montana on Disney+. Yes, all 98 episodes of it.
So, without further ado, here is pre-travel day!
I've got my case packed, complete with years old Mickey sticker, Monsters University Spirit Jersey and large Buzz Lightyear backpack. No trip to Disney is complete without copious amounts of additional Disney to wear. You always want everything to scream "YES, I AM GOING TO DISNEY".
Bright suns, everyone!
Back in August 2019 (yes, I am late to the game), I visited Disneyland's Galaxy's Edge for the first time. In that moment I was super excited that I had seen it before it had opened in Florida and I bragged about it for ages. In the middle of that bragging, I never made my post about it...whoops. Now that we are all in quarantine and I have nothing better to do, I am going to write my post!
Skipper Canteen is one of the uniquely themed table service restaurants in Magic Kingdom, located just inside Adventureland. The prices are pretty reasonable at around $15-$35 per person plus sales tax at both lunch and dinner. If you are on the Disney Dining Plan, Skipper Canteen is one Table Service Credit.
I was really excited to see Mickey's Toontown in Disneyland. It reminded me of the old section that was replaced by Storybook Circus in Disney World with Mickey and Minnie's houses. The area is tucked at the back of Disneyland near Small World and has this awesome moving sign above the entrance.
Cars Land is most likely the most photographed part of California Adventure. Cars Land had three attractions, multiple eating locations and a mountain ton of photo opportunities. It was by far my favourite land in both parks. Beware, I have a lot of photos!
