Last weekend I went for the Mad Hatter Afternoon Tea at the Orangery in Blenheim Palace. This is a Christmas offering that runs alongside the Alice in the Palace. It is extremely popular, so booking in advance is highly advised. The day I was there it was completely sold out! The cost per adult is £28 which includes the whole menu and unlimited drinks.
We checked in at the podium and were seated immediately at our table. Considering it was sold out, it wasn't completely rammed in there which made for a much nicer experience than being crowded in at your table.
The table itself was dressed with bottles filled with the tea blends on offer and Mad Hatter tags. It gave you a good opportunity to choose which of the teas you preferred. They also offered unlimited coffees, including lattes and cappuccinos, and standard teas.
The afternoon tea menu was amazing and had a bit of something for everyone. I went for the Queen of Hearts tea, which is served loose in a tea pot. I liked it so much that I purchased a pot of it from the restaurant for £9.50.
The selection comes out on a standard afternoon tea tiered plate set with fake grass under it to keep it in theme! They are set for two people, with two of everything.

Overall, the Mad Hatter afternoon tea was so nice! It was a good balance of food and was definitely enough to fill anyone up. It felt really Christmassy even though it was Alice in Wonderland themed. We will definitely be going back to do this next year. If you want to book, I think there are still some spaces left until 6th January when they stop serving this afternoon tea.
Finding a bit of pixie dust in every situation.
